The Scope
Gelessy Nail Studio, a home-based nail salon, sought support to establish a digital presence and streamline its business operations. As a newly established business, the primary goals were to build a website, attract more clients, and improve efficiency through the adoption of digital tools.

Operating for less than a year, Gelessy Nail Studio faced challenges in expanding its client base and lacked the digital resources needed to manage and market the business effectively. The owner had no prior experience in website creation and required guidance to develop a cohesive digital strategy.
The Solution
Through the Tees Valley Digital Transformation Programme delivered by Like Us, a professional website template was set up for Gelessy Nail Studio. The owner received training and support to customise it, learning how to add information, images, and updates independently.
Assistance was also provided to successfully apply for a grant, enabling the purchase of a new computer for the salon. A brand-new software system was implemented to streamline business operations, improving efficiency and time management. Additionally, the studio’s logo was integrated into the website design, creating a cohesive and professional brand identity.
The Outcome
The support provided by the programme resulted in significant growth and improved operations for Gelessy Nail Studio. The new website enhanced the salon’s online visibility, attracting more clients and providing a platform to share updates, new treatments, and blogs.
The computer and software system transformed the way the business was managed, saving time and allowing the owner to focus on growth. Learning to update the website independently added a valuable skill, empowering the owner to keep the site current and engaging.
The cohesive branding, incorporating the studio’s logo and colours, further enhanced the professional image of the business, tying all elements together seamlessly.

This project is delivered on behalf of Tees Valley Mayor and Combined Authority and is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
The support and help from Like Us has been fantastic, without them I would not have a website, a computer system and the new clients I have. My website for my nail studio is amazing and it’s given me the ability to explain why I work with Bio Sculpture products, why I focus more on the health of the nails and that I’m the only bio sculpture nail technician in this area.
